Only buys are flagged; sells are not. - Fresh wallet: a wallet whose first Polymarket trade was less than 24 hours earlier and that has only ever traded one market, buying $500 or more on it, in one order or stacked from smaller buys. Each flag is re-verified a few minutes later. - Stacked position: repeated buys by one wallet on the same outcome of the same market, shown as one card with combined size, volume-weighted average entry price and the number of buys. - Bought at: the share price when the bet was placed, in cents; a share pays $1 if the outcome happens, so the price is the market's probability at that moment. - Profit if right: shares times (1 minus entry price), before fees. Return if right: that profit divided by the amount bet. - Notable trades: the stored whale and fresh-wallet bets on a market, default view last seven days; card counts are all-time distinct wallets. - Tracked P&L: realised and unrealised profit as Polymarket's public data reports it for a wallet's positions. - Win rate: share of a trader's settled markets that finished in profit; markets lost at resolution count as losses; open positions never count. Rankings look back; they don't predict. - Market read: the plain-language summary on each market page (who leads, where the whale money went, how the market resolves), computed from stored bets and price history at render time. - Taker fee: Polymarket's fee on some categories, charged to the side taking liquidity, computed on notional times price times (1 minus price). As of October 2026 crypto and most sports carry a fee; NBA, politics and several other categories do not. PolyInsider's profit figures are before fees. ## Data sources Polymarket real-time trade stream (every fill as it prints), Polymarket public data API (positions, trades, reconciliation of flagged bets), Polymarket market API (titles, outcomes, prices, volume, resolution rules), Polymarket price history (charts). Thresholds are fixed at $5,000 (whale) and $500 (fresh wallet) in every market. ## Limits A large bet can be a hedge or a market-making fill; a fresh wallet is a pattern, not proof; sells are not flagged; rankings describe the past; data can lag Polymarket by seconds during busy games and cached pages can be up to a minute old. ## Geography Polymarket is not licensed in some countries, including Germany.
